While school was out for Winter Break, Lebanon athletes and Coaches we very busy.
Wrestling – Was very busy over break and on their return to school. They placed 10th out of 87 teams at the prestigious Sierra Nevadas tournament in Reno. Keith Brown individually placed 3rd, Chase Miller 5th, Lane Blisseck and Austin Dalton Placing 6th. The then competed in the Linn County Championships placing 2nd with Chase Miller, Rian Howard and Lane Blisseck winning individual championships. This past week they defeated Thurston on Senior Night and then Swept their three way meet in Corvallis over league rivals Corvallis and CV.
Girls Basketball – Went to Gillette, Wyoming over the break winning only 1 of three games, but playing some very tough competition from Wyoming and California and sneaking in a trip to Mt. Rushmore. Upon their return they jumped right into league with a huge league win over a Silverton team that was ranked 3rd in state and then also defeating South Albany and Central. the girls are currently tied for 2nd in league.
Boys Basketball – Had a little slower paced break with no varsity competition until the final Friday of break with a hard fought loss and Silverton to a team ranked 2nd in state. They then dropped two competitive games with South Albany (ranked 7th) and Central.
Swim – Swim also had a quiet break with only the Lebanon Invitational on the 5th and then they also jumped into league with meets against Central, Dallas and South Albany.
